New County Maps CIBA member Charlie Myer was nice enough to provide us with great professional maps of counties surrounding Indianapolis. The intent here is to provide common maps for ride leaders to use. Simply print out a copy and mark your route on the map and duplicate. Thanks Charlie! We have three maps that have been painted to show the daily automobile traffic flows.  The traffic statistics came from INDOT which provides this information on its web site (Indiana County Traffic Flow Maps).  The system of rating the roads is based on a system used in Colorado and is shown in the following table.

Daily Traffic Volume	Shoulder 0-1ft	Shoulder 2-3 ft	Shoulder > 4 ft
Under 1000	Green	Green	Green
1000 - 2500	Yellow	Green	Green
2500 - 5000	None	Yellow	Green
Over  5000	None	None	Yellow

Subtract 5,000  from the actual traffic flow for multilane roads such as US 40

For now, we assume that the roads have no shoulder, but this can be updated as required to reflect the actual road.  Any comments about specific roads would be greatly appreciated and should be sent to Norm.  These files are large, please save them to your hard drive if you plan to use them regularly.
