The Central Indiana Bicycling Association (CIBA) is a not-for-profit organization devoted to encouraging the use of the bicycle as a means for touring, exercising, and commuting. The club sponsors daily rides between March and November, and has rides every month of the year. We annually sponsor the NITE Ride, Indiana's only nighttime ride, and the Hilly Hundred, one of the premier weekend tours in the country. Of primary concern to the club is the safety of those who participate. We believe our responsibility is to set an example for the community on the proper use of the bicycle. The club financially supports educational events and developmental activities for younger riders, and is active in pursuing adoption of bicycling-related legislation within the local community. Club members frequently volunteer time to ensure bicycle-related activities can occur.

Many thanks for volunteering to lead a CIBA Ride!!! CIBA's scheduled rides are the most critical part of our clubs success, and our members - and prospective members - count on them for enjoyment and fitness. The Ride Leader and Co-Leader are CIBA members who are probably the first (and maybe only) personal contact for new CIBA members or potential members at a CIBA scheduled ride.
Top Five Goals as a Ride Leader:
1. Plan a SAFE, enjoyable ride: the start location, the routes, and the SAG locations.
2. Paint dan henrys wherever needed to ensure riders can follow the routes.
3. Prepare a complete and easy-to-read map, cue sheet, or both.
4. Plan your pre-ride instructions in advance to ensure that nothing important is left out.
5. Provide adequate SAG support for the ride
